Why do I need to complete a background check?
After your on-boarding session, you will be required to perform a background check as part of our applicant screening process. This is standard in the delivery industry and is to ensure the safety of the platform's clients as well as their own customers. The check is free and mandatory for all Stuart courier-partners.
You will receive an email from Onfido with a link to an online form to complete the check. We take your privacy seriously; Accurate is a trusted third-party and none of the information passed on to them is shared with Stuart or used for commercial purposes.
Just a heads up - to complete the check you will need:
- Your National Insurance Number (NINO) - not mandatory but recommended
- 5 years of exact personal address history, including addresses abroad if you were not always in the UK over the past 5 years
- A clear photo of your passport, national identity card or driving license
- A clear photo of a recent statement from your bank or utility provider (gas, electricity, water)
Important: On the first page of the background check form, make sure that your name is correct. To increase the chances of the check succeeding, you should provide your full name as it appears on any official documents.
You are given no more than a few days to complete the background check form from the moment you receive Accurate's email. Failure to submit the form before the deadline communicated to you will result in you temporarily losing access to the Stuart platform.
The results of your check are not shared with you but we will contact you if necessary.
