Remember: These items must NOT be delivered to a customer who is under 18, intoxicated, or under the influence of drugs.

We may carry out checks from time to time to ensure that you are following these steps correctly.


How to deliver age-restricted items

Pick Up:

  • Check the label or receipt to confirm the package contains an age-restricted item.

  • DO NOT open the package yourself or ask the client to do so.

  • If you're still unsure, ask the client to confirm if the package contains an age-restricted item.

Drop-off:

For an age-restricted delivery, you will need to complete the following steps in-app:

  1. 🍷 Sobriety test: Confirm the customer is sober. You cannot deliver alcohol to the customer if you believe they’re already drunk or under the influence of drugs. You will have to select Yes or No in the drop off task within the Stuart courier app.

  2. πŸ’³ Age verification: If customer looks under 25, check that he/she has a valid form of ID. If customer looks older than 25, just ask for the date of birth verbally. Enter the date of birth as a drop-off task within there Stuart courier app.

  3. Observe social distancing by undertaking contact-free delivery. See here for more info.

  4. Be confident and polite when asking for ID. Customers know and expect this as clients let them know upon ordering.

It is your responsibility to make sure that you don’t deliver age-restricted items to someone under 18.

DO NOT: ❌

  • Do not ask for the customer to sign for the delivery - sign it yourself with an X (valid during COVID pandemic).

  • Do not complete the delivery if you are unable to verify the customer's age or if the person standing in front of you does not match the picture in the ID. Contact customer support if this occurs by following the steps within the Stuart courier app.

  • Do not complete the delivery if the customer is intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. You can find the signs to look for here.
